Card Stock Embellishments
I cut a few circles from brown card stock using a 1-1/2" circle punch, distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz Distress Ink called Vintage Photo and stamped them with a stamp that looks like the top of an old spool of thread. For some reason the ink just wouldn’t set, so I brushed on a coat of Mod Podge (Hard Coat). It smeared just enough to make it look like it’s been sitting in grandma’s attic for eons, I really like the effect. I put on a few more coats for strength, let them dry, then ran them through my Xyron sticker maker so I can use them in a future project.
Although the paper is very pliable the coating gives them a lot of strength. They feel almost like fabric or very thin wood. They turned out way better than I imagined they would.

Leprechaun paper toy to color
Here is a color-your-own version of my Leprechaun paper toy. It is free to download. It works best when it is printed on card stock weight paper.
I also have a colored version that can be printed, see it here.
