This will be the third year Caryn and I have hosted our Be My Awesome Valentine Swap (which involves making valentines by hand) and I had a totally different idea for them but then at the last minute I changed my mind and got out some paint. I figured why not? I'd never made hand-painted cards before. I probably won't make hand-painted cards again, either. On one hand, I love projects that allow me to make giant messes (this fits the bill), but on the other hand, the hand-lettering with paint-coated toothpicks was a little more labor-intensive than I'd planned on. Anyway, after two painting sessions, I think I'm done. Yay!
